Two Separate Lives No More, Deanna Lynn Smith

I was raised in a Christian family who appreciated the teaching of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and met with the local church in Fullerton. In junior high I was saved. As I began to know the Lord I wanted my friends to know Him too, but found it difficult to convey to them what I had received. In addition, due to this inability to communicate the things of Christ to them and also being desirous to fit in among them, I developed two ways of living, one among my school friends and one among the Christians I met with.

In college I heard some messages about the Lord Jesus' human living. As a man on the earth He ate with tax collectors and sinners and they were comfortable to be with Him (Mark 2:15-17). He did not condemn them but He ministered Himself to them as life. This is the kind of person I want to be--one who can meet the need of the lowest human being by ministering Christ to them. Being in the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) has definitely helped me in this area. My vision of God's plan has come into focus. Being in the Full-Time Training has shepherded my soul and caused me to trust and enjoy God more. I have no regrets about coming to FTTA and believe that my two separate lives are merging into one.
